Devolution and the new Ridgeway Council
October 29 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Following the Government announcement on 16th July confirming the incorporation of West Berkshire and two southern Oxfordshire district councils into a new unitary authority, we have arranged for Cllr. Jeff Brooks to speak to us about Devolution and the new Ridgeway Council. Though the Government paused the process on 7th September, the assumption is that it will eventually go ahead (possibly with some minor modifications).
Jeff Brooks is the leader of West Berkshire Council and has been heavily involved in the negotiations that have led to the ‘Ridgeway’ proposal.
